Hand Painted Kitchen: Bury St. Edmunds

This hand made kitchen  was lovingly hand painted by The Painted Pantry –  just in time for Christmas. An enjoyable project – just in time to start prepping the Christmas dinner!

The kitchen was originally from ‘The Hand Made Kitchen Company’ but after 8 years in a family home it was in need of a repaint/revamp.

Our clients chose a new colour; Little Greene ‘French Grey’ equivalent and we applied this using traditional hand painted methods.

Gavin at The Painted Pantry was a joy to work with from start to finish.

I was slightly dubious, having found The Painted Pantry online and not actually meeting Gavin until the day of the job, but I needn’t have worried. Gavin was responsive from the outset and his quote, professional and well drawn up. Gavin maintained contact during a lengthy lead time (we were happy to wait) and turned up on time on the date agreed.  He was professional and courteous, making pains to note that he was covid free and that we were comfortable with him working in our home.  His approach to his work was meticulous; clean, tidy and with an amazing attention to detail – from drawing up detailed plans of doors / knobs so he knew what went where when he refitted the kitchen to ensuring his tools were clean and of high quality.  Gavin is a true master craftsman and took his time to ensure the units were well prepared and the final finish was perfect, working full days despite having a long journey home.  He was also a lovely guy  a real pleasure to have in our home!!
We are thrilled with the end result – the kitchen units’ finish is smooth and appears robust and ready to withstand family life and Gavin was able to fix some water damage and fairly battered doors. The kitchen looks brand new and the money spent was a great investment – we’re only sorry we haven’t got more projects to ask Gavin to do!  But definitely very happy to recommend.
Thanks once again Gavin!!
